How we handle your details.

Handy Sam Engineering Works Limited, Nairobi, Kenya, runs this website. This notice explains what we collect when you send us an enquiry, why we collect it and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect only what you type into the enquiry form:

Your name and, if you give it, your organisation
Your telephone number, your email address, or both, and the country of your telephone number
The enquiry type, the product and the specifications you enter
Any message you add and any bill of quantities or drawing you upload

Why we collect it

We use these details to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, confirm availability and follow up on that same request. We do not sell your details and we do not use them for unrelated marketing. If you ask to join a product update list, we use your contact details to send those updates until you tell us to stop.

Who receives it

Your enquiry is delivered to the Handy Sam product team by email and through a messaging service. Our website host handles the request on its way to us. If you accept measurement cookies, Google and Microsoft process the usage data described below. These providers may store data on servers outside Kenya. We share your details with no one else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details while we work on your request and afterwards as part of our business records. We delete them when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

Cookies and measurement

This website sets no cookies of its own, and its fonts are served from our own address.

When measurement tools are switched on, we ask for your agreement first. If you accept, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies and record how you use the site: which pages you open, where you click and how far you scroll. Clarity can replay a visit, with what you type into our forms hidden. If you decline, neither tool loads.

We may also count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you.

Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 you may ask us to:

Tell you what details we hold about you and give you a copy
Correct details that are wrong or out of date
Delete your details
Stop using your details for a purpose you object to

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
